Iraq: Malwiya Tower, Samaara

Samarra  is a UNESCO world heritage site and lies on east bank of river Tigris. It was once capital of Abbarid Caliphate. It was built in 5th century B.C. The card shows the minaret of Samaara or Malwiya tower. The tower was built using sandstone. It is 52 meters in height and 33 meters wide at base. It has a unique spiral conical design.

Thanks to  Mr Milad. he has used similar stamps on both the cards.
