India: Postcrossing Meetup, Dehradhun

Dehradun is the capital  and the most populous city of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Dehradun is located in the Doon Valley on the foothills of the Himalayas nestled between Song River, a tributary of Ganges on the east and the Asan River, a tributary of Yamuna on the west. The city is noted for its picturesque landscape and provides a gateway to the surrounding region.




 Thanks to Ms Tripthi. She has used two Indian definitives featuring Tilak and Subhas Chandra Bose. Note the Permanent Pictorial Cancellation of Philatelic Bureau, Dehradun.

Kazakhstan : Painting


 This card shows painting by English painter John Willian Waterhouse. His artworks were known for their depictions of women from both ancient Greek mythology and Arthurian legend. This painting Boreas featuring a girl was painted in 1903.         

                                  

This is a postcrossing meetup card. On the left is 2019 stamp celebrating 125th Anniversary of Publication of "Kyz Zhibek". Kyz-Zhibek  is a Kazakh poetic folk legend of the 16th century. Stamp in the center is from a set of 2 issued in 2001, showing traditional costumes. on the right is 2016 stamp on 100 steps for national innovation.

Turkey: Postcrossing Meetup

Tavşanlı is a town and district of Kütahya Province in the Aegean region of Turkey. Tavşanlı is a typical Aegean town where a government-owned coal mine company attracted thousands of settlers from surrounding cities and villages. The town is also famous for its notable number of jewellery shops and is also famous for popular snack called "leblebi" (roasted chick peas).

India: Postcrossing Meetup, Manipal

This is a Tulunadpex 2017( Regional level Stamp Exhibition) meetup card. Even I was a part of it. The postmark on the front is that of Kaup lighthouse and was introduced on 20.08.2017 during this event. This permanent postmark is available at Kaup postoffice. This lighthouse is located on rocks of Kaup beach about 20 kms from Udupi. It was built in 1901 and is 27.12 meters tall. It is a Masonary structure and was built by British. The postmark on the reverse side is that of Philatelic Bureau, Mangalore, depicting an old lighthouse of Mangalore.

India: Postcrossing Meetup, Bangalore

The card shows Indian instrument, Tabla. The tabla is a South Asian membranophone percussion instrument, consisting of a pair of drums, used in traditional, classical, popular and folk music. It has been a particularly important instrument in Hindustani classical music since the 18th century, and remains in use in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Belgium: Postcrossing Meetup, Brussels.

The Grand Place is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by opulent guildhalls and two larger edifices, the city's Town Hall, and the Breadhouse building containing the Museum of the City of Brussels. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels. It measures 68 by 110 metres, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
