he Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples in Abu Simbel in Nubia, southern Egypt. They are situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 230 km southwest of Aswan (about 300 km by road). The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Nubian Monuments," which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan). This is my first card from Egypt. Thanks to my Uncle Diwakar who was visiting Egypt.

After a long break a new card from new country, Burma. A great way to start a new year. The ruins of Bagan cover an area of 16 square miles (41 km2). The majority of its buildings were built in the 11th century to 13th century, during the time Bagan was the capital of the First Burmese Empire.

Another day, another card from new country, San Marino. Vishy my friend who was visiting San Marino sent me this card showing 3 peaks of Mt Titano with fortress. This is a Unesco world Heritage site. He has used one of five from Painting stamps. This 085 Euro stamps depicts painting titled ' View from Artists window, Eragny' by Pissarro. A post mark depicting Mt Titano is used for cancellation.

He has sent me a multiview card with important landmarks and events in Monaco. He has used Prince Philipe stamp. A special postmark depicting Orchestre philharmonque has been used for cancellation. This Orchestra is main Orchestra in Monaco and was founded in 1856. thanks Vishy for the great card.

Postcrosser Ella sent me this car showing old town of Tallin affixed with interesting stamp depicting the Struve Geodetic Arc. The Struve Geodetic Arc is a chain of survey triangulations stretching from the Black Sea to Norway’ northern coast on the initiative of Friedrich Georg Wilhelm Struve (1793-1864) for the measurement of the shape and size of the planet Earth. The measurement of the arc is an exceptional example of different countries scientists’ and monarchs’ cooperation with a scientific aim. The length of the arc is 2,820 km. When the arc was created and more than a century later it was the longest measured meridian arc. It passes through the territory of today’s Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. The original arc consisted of 258 main triangles and 265 main station points. Thirty-four of the original station points today survive, and three of them are situated in Estonia, one in the Tartu Observatory and two in Simuna in the West-Viru County. Since 2005 the Struve Geodetic Arc is a UNESCO world heritage site. She has used one of two from 2011, Miniature sheet.

The card shows Matri Mandir in Auroville town. Matrimandir has its solar power plant and is surrounded by manicured gardens. It was founded in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa (called "The Mother" within Auroville) and designed by architect Roger Anger. As stated in Alfassa's first public message about the township, "Auroville is meant to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. Akhil Kumar sent me this card on his visit. He has used definitives from 2010 series. Thanks Akhil for the great card.

This is a surprise card from my Uncle who was visiting Bhutan. He has used a personalised stamp of himself along with his wife and posted it from Thimpu, capital of Bhutan. The card shows Dochula chorten(stupas) or Druk Wangyal Chorten which was constructed in 2004 by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck to commemorate the Bhutan’s victory over Indian Terrorist. This was built to liberate the souls of the dead.

St. Johann Nepomuk, better known as the Asam Church (German: Asamkirche) is a church in Munich, southern Germany, built from 1733 to 1746 by the brothers Egid Quirin Asam and Cosmas Damian Asam as their private church. Due to resistance of the citizens, the brothers were forced to make the church accessible to the public. Ciltud has used 2 stamps tulip from definitive series and 2011 Castle painting by Metz. The stamp shows two castles Hanstien and Ludwig Stein.

Sisi bou said is a city about 40 kms from Capital Tunis. As shown in the postcard the streets in the city is painted white with blue windows. A great place for vacation.
